Burdens

This is how my baby chooses to go to school each day. She carries a giant back pack by choice. There is no necessity for a preschooler carrying such a huge back pack. But she likes to take it.

This morning it made me think about the "extra" burdens that we choose to carry throughout life. I intentionally load stresses, concerns, projects and ideals onto my own back. Things that aren't necessary but apparently I like to carry. I guess I do it because ultimately they make my day brighter and better, just like the stuffed animal that goes to and from school in Sarah's backpack makes her day a little better.

Some burdens are just worth the extra load.
