I was in England for May Day this year. While I saw no children leaving bouquets at front doors, I was delighted to see a real Maypole with streamers and all at the former home of Mary Arden, Shakespeare's mother! Unfortunately, I didn't see the merry dancing around it, but it did put me in the mood for some fond flower memories, too. Mom
